What happens if a driver is stopped in a roadside check?

Modified on Mon, 16 May, 2022 at 7:33 PM

If a driver is stopped at the roadside by the DVSA or Police, they can show the latest walkaround check that has been completed for the vehicle, irrespective of whether the current driver recorded the check, or another driver earlier in the day.

In the App, from the Menu, the driver should choose Check History. From here there is a choice to display the last 30 days checks from the drivers device, or to filter checks by vehicle. By tapping on the relevant check, a brief synopsis of the check will be displayed. From here a copy of the PDF report can be opened.

This will include any defects, notes, photographs, and if a defect has subsequently been repaired, an annotation is added to the report to give details of that repair.
